A Hot Weekend in Spain and Le Cap d’Agde

Last weekend was one for the books.

With the summer sun blazing, we decided to make a little escape to Figueres, Spain—a quick trip over the border for some shopping and a change of scenery. The heat was intense, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the vibrant energy of the town. A few bags (and maybe a few guilty pleasures) later, we headed back toward the coast, where a different kind of indulgence awaited.

Back in Cap d’Agde, we treated ourselves to dinner at one of our favorite Asian restaurants. The sushi was fresh and full of flavor, the oysters from Bouzigues chilled to perfection—a contrast to the scorching day we’d had. But the real luxury came later that night: for the first time this summer, we slept in the blissful coolness of our newly installed air conditioning unit. Simple pleasures make all the difference, especially in July.

Sunday was all about sun and freedom. We spent the day at the Village Naturiste, starting with a dip in the sea and soaking up the easy, open vibe of the beach. Later, as the sun began to ease off, we stepped into the spa—a unique blend of sauna, music, and an uninhibited lifestyle atmosphere. Let’s just say the energy was hot in all the right ways.

Weekends like these remind us how good life can be when you embrace the heat, the cool, and everything in between.
