Last weekend was one for the books.
With the summer sun blazing, we decided to make a little escape to Figueres, Spain—a quick trip over the border for some shopping and a change of scenery. The heat was intense, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the vibrant energy of the town. A few bags (and maybe a few guilty pleasures) later, we headed back toward the coast, where a different kind of indulgence awaited.
Back in Cap d’Agde, we treated ourselves to dinner at one of our favorite Asian restaurants. The sushi was fresh and full of flavor, the oysters from Bouzigues chilled to perfection—a contrast to the scorching day we’d had. But the real luxury came later that night: for the first time this summer, we slept in the blissful coolness of our newly installed air conditioning unit. Simple pleasures make all the difference, especially in July.
Sunday was all about sun and freedom. We spent the day at the Village Naturiste, starting with a dip in the sea and soaking up the easy, open vibe of the beach. Later, as the sun began to ease off, we stepped into the spa—a unique blend of sauna, music, and an uninhibited lifestyle atmosphere. Let’s just say the energy was hot in all the right ways.
Weekends like these remind us how good life can be when you embrace the heat, the cool, and everything in between.

The phrase “a different kind of indulgence awaited” really caught my attention, as it made me think of my own experiences with the French coast. I’ve had the chance to travel to that part of the world, and I can attest that the summer sun can be intense, but the vibe is always lively. As someone who used to be an engineering student but switched to design, I’ve learned to appreciate the little details that make a place special – like the way the light reflects off the water. Speaking of which, I’ve noticed that the marinas in that region are particularly well-maintained, with a strong focus on sustainability. The parallel between the vibrant energy of the towns and the serene atmosphere of the coastal areas is something I’ve been thinking about because it seems to reflect the balance we all strive for in our lives. I wonder, what is it about the coast that draws you back, and how do you think it compares to other destinations you’ve visited?
Well, it is a unique experience because it is difficult to find same ambience as in Occitanie elsewhere in the Mediterranean. It has its special beauty where the calm, nature and humanity heritage do meet together for real. So just being there is already rewarding you with the living energy.
